These bunnies belonged to a local family, but breeding went out of control. We fixed the male, and started removing the babies – they did not act normal and we had to dig them out of their tunnels. We found they had severe eye and ear issues – as did the parents. An Apricot tree stood in their enclosure and they ate the bark of the tree, which contains cyanide. They have been treated for poisoning but all kept a marked disability of blind and deaf combinations, as well as liver damage.
